Even though this past year and a half have been brutal in many ways, this season of giving thanks is a great reminder of all the things for which I am grateful. This is a short list so you won’t burn any of your Thanksgiving dinner while reading this 🙂

First of all, I’m grateful to you, my loyal fans, who have stuck it out with me even during this pandemic, reading my books, recommending them to others, and leaving reviews, as well as contacting me personally to tell me you enjoy my stories. It means more than I can express.

My grandson, at 9 months old

I’m grateful for a loving husband who doesn’t get frustrated when I lose my phone and my glasses daily and have no sense of direction, for my grown children who still call and visit, for a home of my own in the mountains. And for grandbabies.

I’m grateful for music, to those whose talents give us such enjoyment and the inspiration to dance.

I’m grateful for this beautiful world with forests, oceans, wildlife, flowers, and sunsets.

Above all, I’m grateful for the love of God, my Heavenly Father who is there even if we don’t see His tender mercies all around us.

What are you grateful for? Please leave me a comment.

After all, writing IS an obsession. All of her heroes are patterned after her husband of over 20 years, who continues to prove that there really is a happily ever after.

One Thought on “Of Blessings and Gratitude”

  • I am grateful to God for granting me and my family/friends another year. The blessing in getting older is that I tend to appreciate each day so much more, and do not allow petty things to bother me.
